Elephant and Mahout Figurines
These resin-cast figurines stand approximately 11cm tall and are based on the iconic Elephant and Mahout sandstone carving which stood within the Sand House’s Cloisters tunnel. They have been specially manufactured for the Sand House by Unity Gifts of Wakefield.
The figurines are available in either a sand-effect finish or a dark bronze-effect finish. Each piece is numbered and boxed and comes with a certificate signed by Richard Bell, descendant of Henry Senior. A figurine alone weighs approximately 1.4kg, increasing to 1.7kg with the box included.
The price of the figurines, either sand-effect or dark bronze-effect, is £25.00 each.
Two Sand House postcards are available. One of them features a photograph of the Elephant and Mahout sculpture from c.1912. The other shows the re-creation of the sculpture, by Jamie Wardley, in 2012.
These postcards have been printed on high quality card. The price is 50p each.
